I have had the radio for three weeks now and am extremely happy with my purchase. I knew that I would get a large assortment of radio stations. I didn't know how easy it would be to use. The menus are simple and clear. The remote works very well. The quality is great. Everything works as specified.
Just imagine hearing about the tsunami in Samoa and then tuning in to the news reports from neighboring Australia before going to sleep at night. Well that what I did last week. What a great technology and device.
I am about to purchase a second one to hook up to my stereo system in the den.
There was one minor glitch. During my first set up, the radio gave me an error warning on the display. There was nothing in the instruction manual to help me resolve the problem. I called tech assist and they helped me through the problem. All that was required was hitting the reset button on the back of the radio. I would think that this is a common problem and should be fixed in future editions of the instruction manual. The bad news was the manual had an omission. The good news was that the tech assist phone call was very helpful.

Have had this radio for about 6 months and like it a lot. It sometime loses the internet connection(not buffering) and you have to go through the
menu higharchyagain to get to your favorites. Otherwise a great product for the price. I have plugged it into my Home Theater system.
This makes the radio even more versatile. I have not used the USB port yet so I cannot comment on it's usefullness. I also own the Grace Bravado and the
Aluratek AIRMM01 holds it's own at 1/2 the price of the Bravado(which does not have wired internet only wireless)!

Bought this mainly to listen to a few local stations that are just out of regular reception range. They are all listed in the vTuner site. The problem is more than 1/2 of the time the radio refuses to stream stations. Of the 1/2 of the time it works... it locks up a 1/4 of them.
I've opened tickets that took forever for response... both with Aluratek and vTuner. Some issues were kinda fixed but creating others.
So... after a couple months of headache, it's sitting mostly unusable and I'm shopping for a different internet radio.

I've had this product for a day now, and it has been even better than I anticipated. This morning my wife, who is Swedish, woke up to a Swedish station. Forty-five minutes later I woke up to a news station from Los Angeles. How great is that?
I've read reviews that complain about the radio's display being too bright, but in my opinion this is not the case. Plus, you can turn the display off while you're sleeping. So far, this product has delivered in a big way. I was especially pleased at how easy it was to get the radio to play music from the Windows Media player on my laptop, which was clear on the other end of the house. And while the sound may not be up to the standards of an audiophile, it is quite good for a clock radio.

satalite be gone. these internet radios are so much better - any type of music you can think of. I personaly think the stations from france are done well and have exceptionaly strong singles. It is like short wave but in stereo and clear and you need'nt hold your ear to the speakers and toggle the dial. Just one click and you are in Irland, france, isreal. I bought all three of Aluratek's devices for different places. The stereo version for my stereo, this portable radio for my bathroom and the flash drive one for my computer at work. Yes all the stations are free anyway on the web but these devices make it fast and easy and dont tie up your ram or slow down your computer. The Wifi makes for a clear strong single so no buzz or garble by the stereo which happened when i ran a cord directly from my computer to my stereo before I had these toys.
OK the portable radio version here - not such a great speaker but it is very portable and has stereo outputs so i just plugged it into a
boom box and now the sound issue is fine - loud enough to hear in the shower. The only suggestion as others have stated is no battery option. It would be nice to be freed from the extention cord for backyard listening. I guess they figured you need to be in a hot spot for it to work so there must be a outlet around. Not Always!
Again this little device plugged into an amp or even computer speakers
cranks so it can bring the world into your backyard. Bollywood channels from France(yes the best bollywood channel broadcasts from france)or india makes for great outdoor fun.
Anyway buy it, you wont regret it. Someday I hope they make a portable car version. Now the closest you can get is the slacker device for free music. I hate satalite radio - they choose bad songs and who wants to pay for whats available free and better.
